This is the day of Savannah's blessing. March 1st 2009. We were so happy to have all of our family there- we even had family from Idaho come and Chelsea (Christian's sister) was able to come up from L.A. ! Christian gave a beautiful blessing and Savannah looked like an angel in her dress made by her 'Nana Baldree'. The only thing I regret is that we did not get a big group shot of every one that was there. I hope that Nana Baldree won't mind, but she wrote the most beautiful poem for Savannah and I wanted to include those words here for anyone who didn't get to read them.
Little Soul from Heaven Above
Came to us with Father's love
A blessing to your family on earth,
We rejoice with gladness at your birth!
You're here to learn to love and grow
And as you do, Our Love you'll know...
But the Greatest Love is God's Divine!
Let His Loving Light within you shine.
May His Spirit always guide your way
As you face the dawn of each new day.
May He comfort you and give you rest
When the toils of life your patience test!
Pray, choose the path that's narrow and straight
And choose to LOVE instead of Hate!
If you keep Him close upon your heart
The Spirit's wisdom He'll impart.
Today as we your name bestow
Heavenly Father lets His Blessings flow...
Receive His gifts and use them well
so to others it is clear to tell
You are a Child Of God....
YOU ARE HIS
You'll go home again to Him and Heavenly Bliss!
