Something dumb and something funny... Honey bear

Well the dumb thing I did- I had a bunch of pictures and went to update the blog a few days ago and I plugged them in transfer them and unplugged before it was done... all the pictures are gone. Joy. So, no pictures...

Funny thing- today Vanna and I went to Walmart, we had a huge grocery list. She did great and was happy all the way through the store. We needed honey and so I picked out the one that is shaped like a bear and she was in heaven playing with it all through the store. I had people cracking up around me as she gave it hugs and kisses. So we finally get all we need and get into the checkout and I proceed to unload the cart onto the conveyor belt... All the sudden as I am unloading I hear her saying mmm... Mmmm... .MMMMmmm.... (The Mmm's are getting louder)... I look over to see the honey jar open with her little fingers digging inside and then stuffing it into her mouth as fast as she could. Her first taste of honey... and she LOVED it. I don't know why but it just struck me as hilarious and I burst out laughing with others around who were also enjoying the show in line and she just kept eating it and smiling and making little happy noises. It was dribbled all down her arms, her clothes, the cart and eventually as I tried to clean her up- me. But it was too cute. She is so adorable. Needless to say, we showered when we got home.

Our first Potty incident...

Isn't this first picture cute?! She and Christian look so alike in the picture. The outfit coordination makes it even more obvious that he is daddy. Thanks to Grandma... Vanna is looking ADORABLE in her new clothes. She was thrilled to go shopping with Grandma and pick out new clothes. She modeled them all for Christian and then had to go look in the 'mur' ( mirror) at herself to see how pretty she looked. It was adorable. I had to take a picture as she sat there with Christian all proud of her clothes and thrilled to be with daddy.

The second picture may be a little difficult to make out... if you can't tell... that is Savannah's potty and in the potty... that is Christian's beloved iPhone. And yes, you guessed it. Much to daddy's dismay there is 'pee pee' underneath that iPhone. Savannah thought it was great. Daddy however was not quite as thrilled but mommy found it very humorous and we all had a good laugh over it. Christian was just happy there is a protective case over his phone and I am sure he will be a little more cautious from now on with giving his phone to Savannah. What is funny is sometimes she will do something she knows we would not be the happiest with and she will say 'PEEIL!' or in other words... Pill. Mommy likes to tell her she is a pill when she does things out of spite sometimes and boy is it funny to hear her call herself a pill. She is so cute. We couldn't love her more!

A few cute new things

What can I say, Savannah was doomed from the start- she has Christian and my sweet tooth. I made Chocolate- peanutbutter cupcakes with a peanut butter and cream cheese frosting. She was in love! I asked her 'Vanna is that a good cup cake?' and she said.... 'MMMMmm! Nummy nummy num!' and then smiled- and I caught the smile!!!! So cute! She sure enjoyed every bite of the cupcake but kept asking for more of the frosting on the top.

Dress up is one of her favorite things to do. Here she is modeling daddy's shirt, her fluffy skirt and mommy's fuzzy socks. She is so proud of herself when she puts on whatever she wants to wear and then asks for a 'mur' (or mirror) and then smiles and talks to herself as she looks in the mirror at her little outfits.

One day after I had unloaded the dishwasher Savannah had a bunch of mixing spoons and a bowl and I got on the floor and decided to show her how to pretend to make food. She LOVED it- we played on the kitchen floor doing this over and over for 45 minutes that day! Now she likes to "mix cookies, cupcakes or anything else 'nummy'" And then 'put it in the oven' and 'eat it!' it is adorable.
Savannah and I were just sitting down to dinner a week ago or so and I always dish her up and then while she starts to eat I get myself settled. Well as I was getting my food Savannah just kept saying 'ork!' 'ork!' 'ork!' and would not eat until I understood what she was saying so I finally realized she was yelling fork! She hates to eat now without a fork or a spoon. It is so cute and she does so well with it too!

Other than that- I am now down to 6-7 weeks before baby Boston comes to us and Christian is about to finish yet another semester at school. I think finals are in a week. He is amazing! He has been working on the class Federal Income Tax and I guess it is incredibly interesting *sarcasm* but the good news is... he is almost done! And I am almost done being pregnant! (At least for now! and hopefully for a while!) I can't wait to post some pictures of our little baby boy!

ALL Girl

Savannah absolutely LOVES 'pretties' aka shoes, headbands, necklaces, rings... you name it and she loves looking in the mirror at herself wearing pretties. I got these flip flops for $1 and she was concentrating hard to keep them on... to no avail, but she loves that she has a pick in which shoes she wants to wear now. She is so cute and so sweet. I am very grateful we have such a loving and perfect little girl. She is definitely our pride and joy.

The picture on the bottom is of grandma and Hope and Vanna drawing and reading books together. Savannah's favorite people in the world are our family. I can't tell you how many times a day she calls out for Papa, Grandma, Joe, Dada, Hope, Bryce etc. and I have to explain where each of them are and why they are not here playing with us- if it were her choice we would live in a big house together so we could all be together constantly.

Well... It has been forever.

Amazing. I know. I am going to make another post even though it has been 5-6 months since my last post. I was never good at journal keeping and well, this is online journal keeping... what can I say... at least I am going to post now!

We moved into our new house in December! I love it! It is everything I could ever want in a first house and it is perfect for our family.

Savannah had her first birthday and finally got her first teeth and took her first steps all in that week! She is now running around and is the cutest little thing in the world! I am constantly amazed by her. She can sign 20-25 or so signs and can say (VERY clearly) 30 or so words verbally and it is so fun to be able to communicate with each other. Today she was thrilled with herself when she went 'pee pee potty! Yay!' (She went pee in her potty). I don't think that she is ready for potty training yet, but she tells us when she goes to the bathroom and was so excited doing a little dance and saying yay about going potty today.

I am about 7 months pregnant now and we are so excited to have Boston Matthew come to our family. I can't believe how fast the time has gone this time around. I have had a few little issues but nothing compared to how horrible I felt when I was pregnant with Vanna so it is good!

Christian is finishing his first year of law school at McGeorge. He has done really well so far and we are so proud of him. Grades have been amazing so far... we will see next week when he finishes up finals if it stays that way! ;-)
