Time with Grandparents

Savannah and I stayed at my parents for a few days while Christian was in Southern California looking at law schools. We had lots of fun. Savannah loves grandpa and the pictures in her car seat she is smiling at grandpa and then grandma- you can see her looking the different ways. She is so lucky to have such awesome grandparents. And how lucky I am that my parents will still let me come back home when I need too! By the looks of things it looked like Savannah and I were moving in we brought so much stuff, but it was just for a couple of days!

Daddy Graduated!!!

We are so proud of Christian- he just graduated this last week with his B.S. Great job Daddy! The picture is of he and I after he opened a gift from Mom and Dad. We will be very excited to have him home more in the evenings too!... Until law school!

The second picture Mom was trying to get Savannah to laugh and the third is when she finally did it! She loves Grandma!

Fun at Grandma and Grandpa's

This happened a week ago but I haven't gotten a chance to update the blog. Savannah went swimming for the first time with Grandpa- who she absolutely loves. She is a Grandpa's girl!

Jared got her laughing for a long time for the first time too in the second picture. It was so fun to watch her just laugh and laugh.

Grandma enjoyed some good rocking time with Hope and Savannah too. Lucky Grandkids!

Grandma Love and Rolling over

Savannah has always loved Grandma! Whenever I would talk to my mom when I was pregnant she would go crazy inside me- squirming and kicking. So excited to see her Grandma! Mom was here when Savannah wasn't too happy, lucky me though she was here and got her to sleep! You are the best mom!

Other fun news, Savannah rolled over for the first time yesterday by herself. Not only did she roll one way but also to the other side too! She is not great at it yet and gets pretty frustrated trying but- she can do it now!!! Thanks for the cute outfit Aunt Jess!

Fun With Cousins

I baby-sat Hope and Bryce today and I was enjoying trying to feed and keep all three happy at once. I had to take a picture of the moment. I guess it is a little taste of what is to come in the future! They are adorable!

Happy Birthday Mommy!

I got home from Noel and Jared taking Christian and I to lunch for my birthday and my mom had dropped off these beautiful flowers and balloon and since I just got my wisdom teeth out yesterday she left lots of soft foods like soup, polenta, cottage cheese, juice, goat cheese.... basically anything you could think of. She is so thoughtful! Christian had a great card and thoughful gift for me all set out before Savannah and I even woke up this morning and he got up with Savannah all night last night. Dad brought me a Jamba Juice this evening for dinner and sent me 3 cards!!! What a great birthday! I am so lucky to have such great friends and family!

Daddy Love

Savannah absolutely loves her daddy. Whenever he comes home she lights up and whenever he talks she is captivated, when he walks away she follows him around the room with her eyes. She is a daddy's girl already! So sweet!

I can sit up!

She is finally strong enough to sit in her Bumbo (a seat to help babies sit up). She can hold her head up pretty well and it is adorable to see her be so excited about looking at the world around her.

So cute! Thanks Grandma!

Savannah is all dressed and ready for church this morning. She is so adorable. My mom gets her the cutest clothes! Everyone is always commenting on her outfits. She just wouldn't smile for me this morning but still looks cute. Ever since the shots she has been super cranky (and has not slept through the night since). But it is hard to be mad at someone as adorable as she is so I just go with it! She is such a cuddle bug and still gives us the occasional smiles and squeals and it makes it all worth it!

Shots Day

Today was Savannah's two month check where she got her first shots. The shots have knocked her out. She is really drowsy and has been sleeping a lot. She is actually a little over 2 1/2 months now and the doctor said she is perfect. She weighs 12lbs 12oz. which puts her about the 87th percentile for weight. She also slept all night last night for the first time! I was super excited to get a full nights sleep and of course hope that it was not just a fluke! But if it was, I will still love seeing her adorable smile when she wakes me at 2 in the morning to eat!

Bath Time!

Regrettably we did not get pictures of Savannah's first bath, but she loves bath time and this was just yesterday. I think the first picture the face is classic though... Almost like she is saying "don't take that picture, I don't have clothes on!" She is so cute!

Grandma Forman is going on a mission!

We were so excited to go to Reno for Easter. Grandma Forman spoke in her ward as a farewell and I sang. We had so much fun and Grandma's talk was amazing. We are so proud of her going on this family history mission. She is such a wonderful example to us all. The first pictures are Mariel, Laura and me with our new babies. And the last picture is Shannon with Savannah. Mike took a picture with all three babies with Grandma Forman; I will have to get it from him to put it up on this post soon!

General Conference

Sunday of General Conference we went to Grandma and Grandpa Cox's house to watch conference with them. Savannah enjoyed all the attention she received being held and of course Christian and I enjoyed the attention we got- Grandma made 2 incredible meals. We should have taken a picture of those amazing meals too!!! (We love you Grandma and Grandpa!)

You left me!

Mom and Dad took the boys to Hawaii for a week and so we sent them these pictures by email and said, Grandma and Grandpa I am all dressed and ready for Hawaii and you left me! They of course thought it was cute... and maybe they will think about taking us next time! :-)

I want my fingers!

The other morning I woke up to a very strange sucking noise coming through the monitor. Savannah has decided that the pacifier is no good any more compared to her knuckles! As you can see in the first picture she spits the pacifier out and works hard to get her fingers. For some reason she has always wanted her fingers but has struggled to keep them in her mouth. She is getting a lot more coordinated now and I am afraid there is just no stopping the finger sucking!

Picture Day

We took Savannah to get some pictures Saturday and these are a few of the ones we came home with. She looks adorable! I love the picture where you can see her little toes. She is almost smiling in the picture. It is hard to get her to smile when there are constant flashes of light in her eyes!

First Real Smiles

It is so fun that now Savannah is beginning to smile at us. She especially loves to smile at daddy when he first gets home. She is doing just that in these pictures! She is also beginning to use her voice and try to talk to us. The sounds make me melt!

Savannah's Baby Blessing Day

This is the day of Savannah's blessing. March 1st 2009. We were so happy to have all of our family there- we even had family from Idaho come and Chelsea (Christian's sister) was able to come up from L.A. ! Christian gave a beautiful blessing and Savannah looked like an angel in her dress made by her 'Nana Baldree'. The only thing I regret is that we did not get a big group shot of every one that was there. I hope that Nana Baldree won't mind, but she wrote the most beautiful poem for Savannah and I wanted to include those words here for anyone who didn't get to read them.

Little Soul from Heaven Above
Came to us with Father's love
A blessing to your family on earth,
We rejoice with gladness at your birth!

You're here to learn to love and grow
And as you do, Our Love you'll know...
But the Greatest Love is God's Divine!
Let His Loving Light within you shine.

May His Spirit always guide your way
As you face the dawn of each new day.
May He comfort you and give you rest
When the toils of life your patience test!

Pray, choose the path that's narrow and straight
And choose to LOVE instead of Hate!
If you keep Him close upon your heart
The Spirit's wisdom He'll impart.

Today as we your name bestow
Heavenly Father lets His Blessings flow...
Receive His gifts and use them well
so to others it is clear to tell

You are a Child Of God....
YOU ARE HIS
You'll go home again to Him and Heavenly Bliss!

Our first glimpse

February 6th 2009 at 12:58am
Here are our first glimpses at our beautiful baby... It was a day we will never forget for many reasons. She was 8lbs 8oz. and 20 inches long. Her hair is strawberry blonde like her daddy's.

Our Family

Well, I have been meaning to start this blog for a while and have finally just gotten to it. We are so excited to have our little Savannah. She is now a little over 5 weeks old and weighs somewhere around 10 pounds. We love being parents.
