Just a few cute moments

Savannah has decided that helping with the laudry is really fun. I have a little more laundry to do now that we are cloth diapering. It really is only one extra load so it is not a big deal but Savannah enjoys playing with any of the laundry that has just come from the dryer- I think because it is all warm. But she is so cute!
Yes, she is standing up on her own now and loves her new toy we got her. She is so proud of herself.
The other night she woke up and just would not go back to sleep. Since Christian was gone and it was only 8 I finally just brought her in our room. I was crocheting a hat for Hope and Savannah decided to try to help me... it took me 45 minutes to get the knots out of the yarn!
Here is Savannah concentrating and thinking about crawling. I didn't know if she would crawl because she has shown absolutely NO interest in it whatsoever but that has all changed the last week to a week and a half. She is really thinking about doing it- I just hope she doesn't learn before we go to Utah!
She loves to be naked... What more can I say. She loves it.

Pumpkin Pancakes

So I was craving pumpkin and decided Pumpkin Pancakes sounded good. We only had a massive can of pumpkin but I opened it any way- so we have had pumpkin pancakes... a couple of times the last few days. I love the recipe I found and Savannah does too! Her little face lit up with her first taste and she just sat with her mouth open for more. Well last night I made another batch and we sat down for dinner (Christian was at Law School) and she was SO excited. She really wanted to feed herself though, so I just let her. Messy yes, adorable YES! Savannah was SO proud of herself and I think enjoyed the pancakes even more when she could feed them to herself. It was super cute. I found my favorite pancake recipe! Here it is just in case you want to try it too... (for Savannah and I we used less oil and more pumpkin!) Hope you like them too!

Pumpkin Pancakes

1 cup All purpose flour
1 Tbs. Sugar
1/4 tsp. Salt
2 tsp. Baking soda
1/2 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
1/2 cup Pumpkin puree fresh or canned
1 cup milk
2 eggs separated
2 Tbs. vegetable oil

Combine dry ingredients in bowl. In second bowl , whisk together Pumpkin puree, Egg yolks, milk, and vegetable oil. Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Beat egg whites until peaks for then fold into batter. Makes about 12 pancakes.

Daddy's Little Girl

These are pictures I should have put in a month ago but kept forgetting. We took them on Christian's iPhone so they are not the best quality, but it is adorable to see her enjoy playing the drums with her daddy. Such a proud daddy!

Love of Magazines

Savannah is so funny, when she sees paper it just calls to her. She loves to try to eat it! But if I stick her pacifier in she doesn't eat it but she does love trying to rip it all up. The first 2 pictures are of a dress I saw at Macy's and couldn't resist! I think it is adorable! You can see Savannah is standing up now too. I was holding her obviously, but she loves to try to do it on her own.

Okay, I have been slacking... Here are some pics. Finally.

Savannah is IN LOVE with smoothies. It is her favorite 'solid' food. She would eat a whole glass full if I would let her! Since she loves them so much it has really encouraged her to learn to drink from a straw, so she is enjoying doing that now. She is also feeding herself, well I let her do it sometimes. It ends up making a big mess if it is a runny food, but she did great with some multi-grain cereal! She was so proud of herself. And of course the first picture is Savannah with her Nana Baldree. She loves when her family comes to visit her- very social little thing. Other than that, Christian is doing well in law school but is finding that he is going 24/7 with work, school, church callings, buying a house and Savannah and I. Poor guy, he works so hard to keep Savannah and I home. Thank you Christian! We love you! We are hoping to hear in the next couple of weeks on a few homes that look promising. I have my heart set on a specific one, but I will be happy to get any of the ones we have put offers on. Dumb short sales! This is just taking forever!!! Life is great! Savannah is a happy little girl (as long as she is rested and fed- I have no idea where she gets that from! :-) )

Eating my toes and a new Carrier

Today was an eventful day. Savannah and I went with Nana Baldree to the fabric store and then went house hunting. We were gone pretty much all day but when I got home Savannah began eating her toes... Which is actually the first time- so I was glad I could get a picture of this cute moment. Then I made a baby carrier for Savannah from the fabric I got at the fabric store and I really like it! Savannah loves to be carried and she is getting so heavy and it is hard not to have my hands free so this is the perfect solution. So exciting! My little kangaroo or I guess joey. :-)

Papa Love

Grandpa Forman "Papa" comes over for lunch sometimes- which is SO fun. We love having him here with us. Savannah just lights up and loves Papa Forman. Christian was out of town today for work but Dad and I enjoyed lunch and Savannah loved watching every move he made. She also drank from a big girl cup BY HERSELF for the first time today... and she really did get all the water out on her own. A few minor dribbles down the front, but over all- she did it! It is so fun to see her progress.

Water Lover

Savannah absolutely loves water- whether it is bath time or the pool. Bath time is her favorite time before bed. But swimming is her favorite daytime activity. She would stay in the pool all day if she had her way. She kicks her legs and moves her arms- our sweet little water baby.

Daddy's Bear

This bear was given to us by Nana Baldree- it was Christian's very first teddy bear and was with him from day one. Thanks Nana!

Family is great

We went swimming today and Sarah came with the kids. We all enjoyed ice cream together and I got this cute picture of Hope. I should have got the finished product- she had chocolate syrup all over her face- all the way to her forehead and her dress had lines of it all the way down the front of her! She is such a beautiful girl- and quite the personality!

We're Home!

We drove through the middle of the night to get home (to maximize sleep time in the car for Savannah). So she woke up the next morning in her own bed. Boy was she excited! She was smiling and talking away when she woke up. She was Incredibly happy for the next 2 days. Now I think she is a little bored- there is not nearly as much action going on here as there was on our trips. And Daddy is not here with us 24/7 which she loved. Nobody can get her to be so excited as Daddy- and he doesn't even have to try, just when he walks into the room she starts kicking her legs and smiling and laughing. So in love with Daddy!

Panaca, NV - tiny town, big reunion

We had a family reunion in Panaca, Nevada. It was great to see all of the family and we enjoyed family history, visiting family members in the cemetery, dutch oven cookouts, games and races, pig chases, a talent show, the grand canyon of Nevada, oh and Savannah LOVED shaved ice. She couldn't get enough of it. There will be more pictures to come- I have to get my mom to send me some of the good ones she took! But the trip was great. Surprisingly Savannah did GREAT on the trips. She really thrives on keeping entertained and with so many new places and people she was happy.

Las Vegas

We enjoyed Las Vegas for the most part... It is not a very 'clean' place, but it was cool to see the strip at night with all the lights, we were able to see Mike and Mandy (picture to come- Christian still hasn't downloaded the pictures from his iPhone) we saw Hoover Dam (which was probably the highlight), ate out, saw a show and had fun being with Jared, Sarah and the kids. Mary, Sarah's sister came along too but ended up flying home with food poisoning which was really horrible. We were sorry her trip was ruined! On the way out of town to drive to Panaca, NV we stopped by the temple. It was under construction, but it was nice to go see. Christian says he doesn't think we will ever go back- unless we have to, but it was overall pretty enjoyable.

We love Tahoe!

Mom and Dad took all of us to Tahoe, these are some of the pictures we got. I know my mom got a lot of good ones I will have to post too but these are a start. We did everything from cruises on the lake, hiking, tennis, biking, swimming... You name it, we probably did it.... Oh and who can forget the incredible food we had! 5 star~ and the condo~ 5 star!.... Except when we got stuck in the elevator! But it was an incredible trip. Thanks mom and dad! ....How do you do it dad?! :-)

Love At First Bite- First Teething Biscuit

I was trying to finish a sewing project that has to be done by tonight but couldn't get anything done with Savannah except when she naps (and those are getting less and less frequent and long!) All the sudden 'teething biscuit' came to mind. So I sat her in her chair and handed it too her. She was so excited and couldn't get enough of it. She ate the whole thing! The mess it made was a little more than I bargained for though because I spent quite some time cleaning up biscuit off of every where within a 5 ft radius of Savannah! It was worth it though!
